You can reach our stewards on our discord by typing “@steward (woodshop)”
Ear and eye protection is provided and required for most woodshop work. Dust masks are recommended and can be found in the main room cabinets, near the door to the lounge. There is also a large, passive WEN dust filter above the bench-top sander (with a nearby remote) for cleaner air.
Do not use items in the cabinet marked “broken/incoming”. These items have not yet been approved for shop use by a steward. If you find a tool to be broken, you may put it on that shelf.
CLEAN UP AND PROJECT STORAGE #
Please try to leave the shop cleaner than you found it. There is a broom, vacuum, hand-brush, and dust pan. For information on how to take out the garbage, read this.
If you would like to leave a project or materials in the woodshop, you may do so for up to five days. Please use a piece of painters tape to write your name and the current date on your project/materials. Any unlabeled materials and pieces of wood in the shop are free for anyone to use.
